Buka Puasa Bazaar @ Seksyen 14, Petaling Jaya

Did you use to have a difficult time picking a bazaar Ramadhan that’s got nothing but good food? Maybe it’s time you take a little trip to Petaling Jaya and see what lies in store for you at the bazaar in Seksyen 14. Arguably one of the most popular bazaars in PJ, it starts on Jalan 14/28 and sprawls inwards, towards the playground. If you’re not from PJ, the bazaar is down the road from the ol’ (and partially collapsed) Jaya Supermarket and Digital Mall. Other landmarks include the brown Seksyen 14 mosque, a hug Toyota Showroom and 3 Two Square.

When you’re there, you’ll definitely notice a long queue for the famous Penang popiah basah. While it’s arguably a berbuka must-have, be prepared to wait for at least half an hour for the glorious popiah. We made it to the stall at 4pm on Sunday. Although there were only 20 people ahead of us, it took us 45 mins to get our hands on it!

Anyway, enough talking-on with the sights!

Otak-otak that’s 50sen a piece. It’s pretty good!

Lauk for Nasi Padang.

Spit-roast lamb.

Spoiled for choice.
